Building a Village using Laurie Furnell Graphics from her Christmas Village*** clipart set
My granddaughter and I made a paper craft village - pinning the graphics to styrofoam blocks.
My dgd also used her Crayola Cutter machine and cut out elements of each of the village buildings and used pop-dots to give specific portions a 3d effect.

First thing I did - I printed out 2 copies on card stock white paper
of each of the 7 village buildings in the ***former pccrafter Creatable by Laurie Furnell "Christmas Village"
the set is no longer available via pccrafter as the site is closed.
Laurie does NOT have this particular
set available on her Aimee Asher Store:

I printed "fit to page".
One copy was for the base, the other was for using to cut out the parts for using with the pop-dots

in this picture - are all the copies, I have started cutting with scissors the individual buildings on the first copy.

Next Mariah takes the 2nd copies and begins to use her Crayola Cutting machine
to go around specific portions to cut them each out.
Her tips: hold pen at 90 degree angle, go slowly as you trace around the parts you want to cut
the pen tool applies tiny perforations as you go around graphic.
**there is a video to watch about this cutter on the Crayola website**

This is the Bakery building which she cut out several parts
to apply pop-dots to paste on to the buildings for 3d effects.

This is the Sweet Yums - Sweet Shop and she is punching out the different pieces
The Crayola cutter puts tiny perforations in the cardstock as you trace around parts
that you then punch out "carefully" from the main piece

and here is the finished sweet shop with pop-dot items applied

Mariah finished up each of the 7 buildings.

Next the styrofoam had to be cut - we let my daughter do that with an electric knife,
I made up templates for each building for her to use for cutting them out.

The easiest way we found to put the cardstock buildings on the styrofoam was to use tiny pins
glue just didn't work for us.

and

All done -

Now we had to find a place to display them - something we hadn't pre-planned - LOL!!
so my daughter decided to place on top of tv cabinet so everyone could enjoy and see.
she put fake snow around and lights behind the buildings which is giving the glowing effect.

Merry Christmas to All and to All a Good Night!
Happy Crafting.
